“Manage care to Elderly & Shut-Ins”

— What churches tell us they need

How it works in CareNote

CareNote's Assignment and Visitation Schedule features are perfect for managing ongoing care for shut-ins, nursing home residents, and elderly members who need regular visits.

Step-by-step guide

1

Create an Assignment

Go to Admin → Assignments → Create

2

Link the care receiver and caregiver

Select the shut-in (Profile) and the volunteer/deacon who will visit (User)

3

Configure the Visitation Schedule

Set the frequency: weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly. Optionally specify days of the week.

4

CareNote tracks automatically

The system calculates next_visit_due based on your schedule

5

Log visits when they happen

When the volunteer visits, they log an interaction. CareNote automatically calculates the next due date.

6

Monitor overdue visits

Overdue visits appear on the Dashboard and in reports so nothing slips through.

Visit frequencies available

  • Weekly — Visit every week on specific day(s)
  • Biweekly — Visit every two weeks
  • Monthly — Visit once per month
  • Quarterly — Visit every three months
  • Yearly — Annual visit (e.g., birthday visits)

What you get
