How it works now
Prayer requests are most of what gets recorded here. The daily prayer digest emails the list to the staff each morning, so everybody sees who needs praying for without opening the app or asking anyone for an update.
When a request needs more than prayer it becomes a care request, sorted by how long the church expects to carry it: short term, medium term, extended term, or a crisis that needs pastoral escalation. That one choice stops every request turning into an open-ended promise. Eleven groups are wired to receive care requests, so a need can go out to a whole group by email and whoever is free claims it. Visits, including hospital visits, are logged against the person, and a message to the care address can open a request on its own.
