Run real pastoral care in a small church on two seats: visit people, pray for them, and send the card.
How it works now
The pastor enters what comes up, mostly prayer, along with life updates, life events and cards to send. Almost every request goes to a group rather than to a named person, so it is emailed out to the people who could cover it and whoever is free claims it. A report closes the request when the work is done.
Alongside that runs a steady visiting habit: more than fifty visits in eight months, including hospital and home calls, each one written against the person who was seen. That log is how the pastor of a small church knows who has not been visited in a while. A request form and an email address are open as well, for whenever the congregation would rather ask directly.
