How Churches Use CareNote

A church using CareNote as a member check-in and milestone log

The church

About 2,000 people, with Planning Center connected. Seven months on CareNote.

What they set out to do

Know where each member is in their story, rather than who is handling which ticket.

How it works now

Staff check in on members and write up what they find: an email, a visit, a prayer request, a call. Milestones are the memory. Where a note says what happened on a given day, a milestone says where the person has got to, so whoever picks the relationship up next starts in the right place.

Needs arrive by hand and by email, and a message sent to their care address becomes a care request without anyone rekeying it. A request form is published for the congregation as well. Privacy mode keeps sensitive notes sensitive while still giving every staff member a seat, and documents and expenses attach to the cases that need them. Twenty-three groups organize the congregation behind all of it.

What it takes

Nine paid seats, privacy mode switched on, and milestones kept up to date.

Is this your church?

If your care question is where this member is right now rather than who is handling this ticket, milestones and a check-in habit give you the answer, and privacy mode keeps the sensitive parts sensitive.
