How it works now
Four pastors and four staff each write up their own contact: the prayer request, the phone call, the hospital visit. The work is genuinely shared rather than falling to one person, and thirty-four groups organize who belongs where in the congregation.
Notes that should not be read by everyone are marked private, and this church marks enough of them that confidentiality is clearly part of how they work. They have not built an intake pipeline and do not appear to want one: care requests are rare and mostly for prayer. They have also begun inviting members to take a SHAPE assessment, which is how a church starts to see who in the congregation is already suited to which kind of need.
